The SLWAR program team focuses on the daily implementation and operations of the program, including working directly with participants to help them find and secure housing, maintain positive landlord relationships, and engage in in-home case management focused on housing stability, health and well-being, and community belonging.

Host Agency

CMHA Thames Valley Addiction and Mental Health Services (previously Addiction Services of Thames Valley), stewards financial and infrastructure resources for program operations and provides support with human resource management, such as recruitment, hiring, training, and managing staff payroll.

Governance Group

The Governance Group acts as the coordinating or steering committee for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the SLWAR Model. Members of the Governance Group include:

Women’s Advisory Group

The Women’s Advisory Group, comprised of women with lived and living experiences of survival sex work, informs and provides input on the implementation and direction of the SLWAR Model, and share insights, information, and recommendations from the perspective of lived experience when questions regarding participants’ needs or program challenges arise.

Collaboration Advisory Group

The Collaboration Advisory Group includes 27 programs representing 26 organizations. The Collaboration Advisory Group informs the development of program policies, participates in regular meetings and teleconference calls to help inform program operations, reduce barriers to needed services, and support participants in the program, and reallocate staff to SLWAR to provide intensive in-home housing stability work.

Working Groups

Within the SLWAR model there are four working groups: Evaluation Working Group, Rapid Response Working Group, Community Belonging Working Group, and Systems Integration Working Group. Each working group plans, implements, and monitors their corresponding component of the SLWAR model.
